I have to send my laptop away to be rapaired but you can rest assured that normal service will be resumed as soon as it is fixed. Unfortunately, this will take between 7-12 days. I realise that the fonts on the main page are a bit out of step with how things usually look, but this is the best I can do from an internet cafe. However, you can look forward to a bumper update as soon as the problem is fixed. You can continue to send me your e-mails, dream team submissions and stories at the usual address. Thanks. > Italian Serie C1/A and C1/B Guides - Posted by Jon, 13/6/09 We have two new league guides for you today, the Italian Serie C1/A and C1/B make up the third tier of the Italian football league system. They are two highly competitive leagues, with the teams competing for a place in Serie B. It could prove a tough challenge gaining promotion, with little in the way of funds to help bolster the squads, you will have to rely on loan signings and careful management if you are to achieve success. Italian Serie C1/A, Italian Serie C1/B > Champ-Man Post Issue #8 - Posted by Jon, 12/6/09 Issue #8 of the Champ-Man Post is now online and February has been a bit of a turbulent month for The Hoops. The league campaign, as well as the Scottish Cup and Champions League second round tie against Benfica are all features in February's instalment, as my Celtic team begin to lay the foundations for a push at winning major honours. Champ-Man Post Issue #8 > French Ligue 2 - Posted by Jon, 11/6/09 With all the top leagues now done, we will be heading into the lower reaches of some of the main leagues on Championship Manager, starting with the French Ligue 2. I was very impressed with the quality of players in this division; the likes of Serge Die, Alexis Zywiecki and Nabil Taider, to name a few, have the ability to make an impact further up the footballing ladder. I have also had another entry for our dream team competition, this one comes from John Smith. Keep them coming in, for your chance to win a copy of Championship Manager 2009. French Ligue 2 Guide, John's Dream Team > Champ-Man Post Issue #7 - Posted by Jon, 9/6/09 We've got a double update for you today. January's issue of the Champ-Man Post is now available for viewing. The transfer window is now open and there will be a few comings and goings at Parkhead. The cup competitions also get back underway and it will be interesting to see how my small squad cope with so many fixtures in such a short space of time. I have also updated the CM Focus feature, with Mehmedalija Čović, Barcelona and the Dan Tactic V_1 taking centre stage. Champ-Man Post: Issue #7 > Swiss Super League Guide - Posted by Jon, 9/6/09 I have just completed the league guide for the Swiss Super League, which means we now have guides for every top level European league in Championship Manager 2008. The Swiss Super League has some good quality players, including Hakan Yakin and Marco Streller who have the ability to make an impact at the major European clubs. In the league itself, Basel are undeniably the strongest team and have the largest budget, a good challenge could be trying to resurrect the fallen giants of Swiss football, Grasshoppers. Swiss Super League > Champ-Man Post Issue #6 - Posted by Jon, 7/6/09 Issue #6 of my Celtic fanzine is now available. December has been full of obstacles for the Hoops, but with the January transfer window looming on the horizon and a healthy lead in the SPL, see how Celtic perform and what impact this vital month will have on shaping their season. Champ-Man Post Issue #6 > Austrian Bundesliga Guide - Posted by Jon, 5/6/09 The league guide for the Austrian Bundesliga is now available. It is an extremely competitive league, with up to five team vying for the league title and the one Champions League spot. There are some decent players in the league, but funds are scarce so it will be a real test of your tactical prowess and man management skills. Austrian Bundesliga League Guide > Champ-Man Post: Issue #5 - Posted by Jon, 3/6/09 November's issue of the Champ-Man Post is now available. With the Hoops in such brilliant form, it is hard to see who will be able to stop them. However, the January transfer window is approaching and with the growing discontent at Parkhead, there could yet be a few surprises in store and with such a difficult Champions League group to negotiate, it will be interesting to see if Jonathan Wolstenholme's men call pull through. Champ-Man Post: Issue #5 > New Story: Quadruple or Nothing - Posted by Jon, 1/6/09 Having conquered Milan, MerseysideRed has begun a new story with his beloved Liverpool. He may have dug himself a bit of a hole though, with the audacious claim that if the Reds do not win the Quadruple in his first season in charge, then he will resign from his position. Only time will tell if he can achieve this. Quadruple or Nothing: Part One > Champ-Man Post: Issue #4 - Posted by Jon, 31/5/09 The fourth part of my Celtic E-Zine is now available. The Hoops face some tough fixtures in October, most notably a home match against current Champions League holders, Milan. See how we perform in Europe and find out if we can continue our excellent start to the league campaign. Champ-Man Post: Issue #4 > Norwegian League Guide - Posted by Jon, 29/5/09 I have just added the league guide for the Norwegian Premier League. Whilst it is not one of the strongest leagues in Europe, it includes some promising teams who could prove a good basis for success in Championship Manager. There are also a few teams who you may be familiar with; Rosenborg, who's draw at Stamford Bridge lead to the departure of Jose Mourinho, as well as players such as Steffen Iversen, Rade Prica and Robbie Winters. We also have another dream team entry, this one comes from Iain Hunter. Norwegian Premier League, Iain's Dream Team > Champ-Man Post Issue #3 - Posted by Jon, 27/5/09 The third issue of my Celtic fanzine is now online. After a resurgence towards the end of August, see how the team comes together, as we face two big away games against Rangers, as well as the beginning of the Champions League group stages. Champ-Man Post: Issue #3 > Letters to the President: The Finale - Posted by Jon, 25/5/09 MerseysideRed's alter ego, Jonathan Stanley, leads his Milan team into the finals of both the Italian Cup and the Champions League with the sixteenth and final instalment of Letters to the President. Having already claimed the Serie A title, see if he can complete a truly memorable season at the San Siro with a clean sweep of trophies. Letters to the President: Letter 16 > Champ-Man Post Issue #2 - Posted by Jon, 24/5/09 The second instalment of my Celtic fanzine is now available. With all the controversy surrounding my appointment, see how the Celtic fans take to their new manager and more importantly, how the team performs on the pitch. Champ-Man Post: Issue #2 > Champ-Man Post: Celtic E-Zine - Posted by Jon, 23/5/09 I have just completed the first part of my new story as manager of Celtic. It's a lot different to my previous efforts and is done in the form of an online fanzine. There's plenty of information, speculation and opinions, much like you would find in a real fanzine, it's on a separate part of the site with a different design. You can check out the first issue now, by clicking on the link below (nb. it will open in a new window). Champ-Man Post: Celtic E-Zine > Czech and Finnish League Guides - Posted by Jon, 22/5/09 We have another two new league guides, this time from the Czech Republic and Finland. They are two developing leagues that have been dominated by the major teams - Sparta Prague and HJK Helsinki - over the years. However, despite not possessing many quality players, it could provide a good challenge for managers wanting to test their skills in unfamiliar territory. Czech 1. Liga, Finnish Premier Division
