Jonathan Wolstenholme speaks to the fans about Celtics performance in September:

What a month! I haven't had a minute to myself, as the fixtures have come thick and fast, but I'm loving every moment of it.

As a manager, victories like those we have enjoyed over Rangers are ones to cherish and I hope you will agree that this team is looking brilliant at the moment.

Even I wouldn't have expected the goal glut that has occurred this month, but this is a testament to the hunger, desire and ability of the current squad. With each passing week, they become stronger and more fluent in their play.

Whilst the victories over Rangers have brought great joy to the club as a whole, I think the most significant result happened at the Luzhniki Stadium. Make no mistake, Spartak are a quality team and playing on a plastic pitch was always going to be a disadvantage for us. However, in spite of the hostile crowd and physicality of the game, we came through with flying colours and achieved a result that most thought was impossible.

Heading into October, top of the table, I hope for a similarly successful month, but am realistic enough to know that things will become more difficult. As we progress in domestic and European competitions, the standard of opposition will get better, but at this current moment in time, I think we have the quality and momentum to beat anyone.

Brian Quinn Talks Celtic:
I have been delighted with the team and the managers performance this month.

The victories over our arch-rivals Rangers have been a great testament to my decision to bring in a new manager, with a new philosophy.

I hope you will agree that the feast of attacking football we are currently seeing at Parkhead is helping to re-establish Celtic as the best team in Scotland.

However, as the manager has said, this cannot go on forever. There will be days where we have to scrap for 1-0 victories, and days where a point will be a good result.

But at the moment, we are performing brilliantly and long may it continue. Going into October, I believe we have every chance of continuing our excellent form.
