Motherwell 0 - 10 Celtic, Fir Park
On today's display, they might as well start attaching the green and white tassels to the SPL trophy because Celtic are looking invincible. To say they demolished lowly Motherwell would be an understatement; the Hoops were superior in every department, none more so than in attack, where their strikers had a field day.

A hat trick from Pinilla, as well as braces from Man of the Match Bobe Balde and Figueroa and goals from Davies, Modric and McGeady completed what was Celtic's second ten goal haul of the season. This reporter is lost for words, I don't think Scottish football has ever seen anything quite like this before.

Tears for Tartan Army in Tblisi, Scotland's dream of qualifying for Euro 2008 died with a whimper hear in Georgia tonight. After France had beaten Italy four days earlier, the Scot's needed to beat the Georgians to secure qualification, but could only manage a 1-1 draw.

Livingston Win Scottish League Challenge Cup, Livingston claimed the first honours of the new season, with a 1-0 victory over St. Johnstone in the Challenge Cup final. A Steven Craig goal on 65 minutes was enough to secure the win for Mark Proctor's side.

'Gers Champions League Adventure is Over, Rangers feint hopes of making the Champions League knockout stages ended tonight. An early goal from Fernando Torres proved the difference as Liverpool defeated Walter Smith's men 1-0.
McLaren's Men Heading for Euro 2008

England will be amongst the favourites to win Euro 2008 after qualifying top of Group 5.

A 3-0 victory over Croatia in the final group game, saw them climb above Slaven Bilic's men on goal difference.


 

Derby Weigh Up Bid for Papac

Derby manager Billy Davies is considering making a bid for Ranger's Bosnian defender Sasa Papac.

Papac has been a mainstay in the Rangers defence since his move from Austria Vienna last year and is valued at 2 million.
