On today's display, they might as well start attaching the green and
white tassels to the SPL trophy because Celtic are looking invincible.
To say they demolished lowly Motherwell would be an understatement; the
Hoops were superior in every department, none more so than in attack,
where their strikers had a field day.
A hat trick from Pinilla, as
well as braces from Man of the Match Bobe Balde and Figueroa and goals
from Davies, Modric and McGeady completed what was Celtic's second ten
goal haul of the season. This reporter is lost for words, I don't think
Scottish football has ever seen anything quite like this before.

Livingston claimed the first honours of the new season, with a 1-0
victory over St. Johnstone in the Challenge Cup final. A Steven
Craig goal on 65 minutes was enough to secure the win for Mark
