Celtic secured top spot in Group H with a brilliant performance against
Spartak Moscow tonight. Aiden McGeady further enhanced his reputation
with a master class of attacking play, bagging a hat trick in the
process. The rout was completed with a brace from Balde and a stoppage
time goal from Pato.
Spartak rarely threatened
Artur Boruc's goal and on the few occasions they did, the Polish
goalkeeper was more than up to the challenge. It will be interesting to
see how the Hoops fair at the San Siro in a few weeks time, against a
Milan side who will need a victory to ensure their own qualification.

Scotland's dream of qualifying for Euro 2008 died with a whimper
hear in Georgia tonight. After France had beaten Italy four days
earlier, the Scot's needed to beat the Georgians to secure
qualification, but could only manage a 1-1 draw.

Livingston Win Scottish League Challenge Cup,
Livingston claimed the first honours of the new season, with a 1-0
victory over St. Johnstone in the Challenge Cup final. A Steven
Craig goal on 65 minutes was enough to secure the win for Mark
Proctor's side.

Adventure is Over,
Rangers feint hopes of making the Champions League knockout stages
ended tonight. An early goal from Fernando Torres proved the
difference as Liverpool defeated Walter Smith's men 1-0.
