If you don't quite have the knack of creating your own tactics for Championship Manager then the next best thing is to download one that has been created by somebody else. We have a large selection of tactics that you can download here at Champ-Man.com, you can find them by clicking the link here or by using the left hand side menu bar.

Once you have settled on a tactic and downloaded it, the next thing you need to do is install it so that it can be used in the game. The purpose of this guide is to show you how to do this.

Go to the area of your computer to which you have downloaded the tactic - it can normally be found in the 'downloads' folder.

Once you have found the file, either copy or cut it and then go to your 'Championship Manager 2008' folder - usually found in Documents > Eidos > Championship Manager 2008.

Locate the tactics folder and then paste the file into this location - alternatively if you don't already have a tactics folder, you can right click, go to 'new' and then create a new folder called 'Tactics'.

Once this has been done your downloaded tactic is ready to be used in the game, it should be useable in both saved games and new games.

I hope to build up some comprehensive lists of all the best players, tactics, set pieces routines and training schedules.

I am also hoping to start a new Lower League Section, with help and guides for those who chose to start their managerial careers further down the footballing ladder.
