The Belgian First Division is one of the oldest
leagues in world football. Despite this, few Belgian clubs have been
able to make a major impact on the European stage. The league itself
boasts a very good depth of talent, both home grown and foreign, with
the majority of the imports coming from Eastern Europe. Anderlecht have
dominated the league for many seasons, but have come up against stiff
competition from the likes of Club Brugge and Standard Liege over the
years.
League Structure:

Top 2 qualify for Champions League - both must go through qualifying
rounds
- The Belgian Cup winners and the team finishing 3rd qualify
for the UEFA Cup

Team finishing 17th enters a promotion/relegation round robin league,
with the teams finishing 2nd-4th in the Belgian Second Division
- The
winners of this league remain/are promoted to the First Division
- Bottom team are relegated

CM 2010 section
We will soon be starting work on our new CM 2010 section, which should
be up within the next week. I hope to build up some
comprehensive lists of all the best players, tactics, set pieces
routines and training schedules. I am also hoping to
start a new Lower League Section, with help and guides
for those who chose to start their managerial careers further
down the footballing ladder. If anyone is interested in
