CM 2008 > Guides > League Guides > Portuguese Super League

The Portuguese Super League is an improving competition, but its development has been stifled by the dominance of 'the big three' - Benfica, Sporting and Porto - with the only other team to have won the league since 1946, being Boavista in the 2000/01 season.

League Structure:

- Top 3 teams qualify for Champions League - 3rd placed team has to go through qualifying rounds
- The Portuguese Cup winners and the teams finishing 4th and 5th qualify for UEFA Cup
- Bottom 2 teams are relegated

CM FOCUS

CM 2010 section
We will soon be starting work on our new CM 2010 section, which should be up within the next week.

I hope to build up some comprehensive lists of all the best players, tactics, set pieces routines and training schedules.

I am also hoping to start a new Lower League Section, with help and guides for those who chose to start their managerial careers further down the footballing ladder.

If anyone is interested in helping with the Lower League section or any other area of the site, then please send me an e-mail at jonathan@champ-man.com
