CM 2010 > Players > Defenders

All the best teams, those who have won leagues and cups at club and international level have had one thing in common: a solid back line. Being a strong defensive unit depends heavily on having the right kinds of player at your disposal, a good centre back should have good marking, tackling, heading, jumping and positioning attributes. These are the basic attributes you should be looking for in every defender, whether it be for a Premier League or Conference side.

Once you have identified players with these traits you can then look for secondary attributes such as decision making, acceleration, pace, stamina, consistency, bravery, determination and strength.

Below you will find a list of some established, lesser known and young centre backs with huge potential.

CM FOCUS

CM 2010 section
We will soon be starting work on our new CM 2010 section, which should be up within the next week.

I hope to build up some comprehensive lists of all the best players, tactics, set pieces routines and training schedules.

I am also hoping to start a new Lower League Section, with help and guides for those who chose to start their managerial careers further down the footballing ladder.

If anyone is interested in helping with the Lower League section or any other area of the site, then please send me an e-mail at jonathan@champ-man.com
